Anthony Stewart (born 15 April 1971 in Burnie, Tasmania) is an Australian former professional basketball player in Australia's NBL. At one time, Stewart worked in an off-court role with the Cairns Taipans.
Stewart began his career with the Hobart Devils in 1992, but later joined the Perth Wildcats in 1995 to become an integral part of the Wildcats championship team that year. Stewart continued with the Wildcats winning another championship with the team in 2000 before leaving for the opportunity to captain the Taipans.
Shortly after the completion of the 2006/07 NBL season, the Taipans announced that they would not be resigning Stewart for the next season.[1] A month later, on 4 April 2007, the Taipans announced that Stewart will remain with the club by accepting a job in the Taipans front office.[2]
